Why did I write this book about Leadership?
This is a very direct and concise leadership book, which contains questions that are going to let you get the answers you are looking for about how to be a better and more complete leader.
This book is for that leader who knows he/she can get more of his team, but who is not clear about how to achieve this goal.
Many times, as leaders, we try to find new tools, new ¨tricks¨ that will make us more successful… and we don´t realize that the real secret, our real goldmine, is in our team.
Once we are able to get the most out of our team, once we are able to lead, and not just to manage, that´s when we raise our game.
No matter how many new tools you bring to your business, if you, as a leader, don´t get the best performance out of your team, you are going to be wasting the potential of those tools and the potential of your team players.
This leadership book is going to help you understand how to get the best performance out of your team, how to be clear in what it is you want, how to explain this to your team and how to make them buy into your vision for the business. If they don´t share that vision, they should not be part of your team any longer.
Before start reading, think of what it would mean for you to be able to get the best performance out of your team. Would you be more effective? Would you get better results? Would you be better at delegating? What impact would it have in your business having all of your team players working at their best and improving every day? What impact would it have in yourself, as a leader, being able to achieve this? What impact would it have in your lifestyle? In your relationships?
If, after having answered all of these questions, you are still interested, congratulations! You are taking the first step to change. And remember, as Dan Sullivan says, ¨all progress starts by telling the truth¨. If you want to read this book is because you think there is a possibility to improve your leadership skills. Once you recognize this, you can keep going on, and read, and applying this book.
The outcomes you are going to get after reading this book are:
•Determine which are the qualities of a leader
•Know how to solve problems and take decisions
•How to get results
•Which questions you should ask yourself to be a better leader
•How to make your vision for the company a reality
Before you start reading this book, think (and write down on paper, if you can) what is it that you want to get from this book.
You need to establish goals for this book and decide what do you want to learn from this material. By realizing what you want before you start reading, your mind is going to focus on finding the answers to those questions; and it will be much easier to notice the important information once you see it.
Just ask yourself these two questions before you start reading:
•Why am I reading this book?
•What is it that I want to learn from this book?
